BU Today Sessions: Micah - “I Am Not Quite There”
now i’m going to attempt to transcribe micah’s sick rhymes.

I see all the mistakes I made in a life not free
Because I did not like me,
So I switch it up and try to make the light see
My mirror image so frightening,
Calamity surrounding my inner battles,
They say only time will tell - well it’s inclined to tattle.
I prefer not to wait nor meditate on fate
So i levitate above the earth just so i can feel the weight
Or the gravity - and when the force reaches up and grabs at me,
Coercing the demons out of me - I’m bound to see
Where my boundaries push out everything around me.
Suddenly my concrete walls have no grounding.I am foundering.
Heart pounding. Imagining the open space around me,
Surrounded by talking heads yelling so loudly.
Bullshit hacked from the back of their throats like phlegm -
This is not about them; no this is not about them.
This concerns me and my pen gettin together again
To exorcise all the demons and bring me closer to freedom.…
This ain’t about procrastination.
It’s about translation.
It’s about transition - Existing as truth in fiction.
Fixin, Improvin through self-criticism.
Nihilism leaves me barely livin,
My imagination runs wild with my dreams and nightmares.
A mad dash for the future,
